This happened to me when I was 18 and basically it was just like the article stated. I let go of the religion and focused on the relationship and what a huge difference that made in my life. It was a good thing...I don't discredit my salvation before I was 18 because I had some great moments of faith and a solid foundation in the Word but it all came together as my faith matured and the "religion" was abandoned and the relationship took off. Sometimes the old mindset comes back because we are God's ways and man's ways are so opposite but I am just so thankful for His Grace and I want to stay focused on that! Learning alot in Romans lately and it is good stuff!
