Ending of one season beginning of a new one

The name of this blog is taken from the fact that I deliver mail for the United States Postal Service, or should I say did work for the United States Postal Service.  As of last Friday, July 5, I am no longer an employee of the post office.  According to the cake I was given I retired, but in reality I resigned.  For those interested; the reason I didn't retire, I have the age but not the years.  I could have retired but I would have taken 30% penalty on my retirement, so I have postponed my retirement and will actually retire from the post office when I turn 62.

As you see one season has ended, and another begins.  With it comes excitement and some uncertainty for my wife and I.  During the time I worked for the post office I have pastored Edgemere Bible Church.  Several times during those years we have been at the point of ready to go there full-time, but something would happen and all that would be put on hold.  Now I am the full-time pastor at Edgemere Bible Church and excited to see what God is going to do, but at the same time praying that in a lack of faith I did not wait to long.  That is the season we now enter.

If you have ever looked at this blog, it never really developed into my original idea, there were some thoughts, songs of the month, and sermons, but not quite what I expected.  So know with more time, and maybe more originality this blog will be come a worthwhile destination.  The name may change, it may just start all over, but it is a new season and I am looking forward to it.  Hope to see you soon.
